 The Planning and Research Division offers support for overseas activities of Japanese local governments, such as research activities and study tour. Thanks to its overseas offices, CLAIR can recommend places to visit, make the necessary appointments, organize explanatory presentations on the premises of the overseas offices and provide materials and useful information. |

| Tracking Activities of International Local Government Organizations |
 |
|
 Through participation in various international organizations concerned with local government, such as the Asia Pacific regional branch of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG ASPAC), CLAIR gathers information and keeps track of the activities of such bodies. Upon request, the Planning and Research Division will provide relevant information to interested parties in Japan. |

| Public Relations |

| The Planning and Research Division is in charge of promoting CLAIR's operations, programs and current activities to local governments and related bodies both in Japan and abroad. Accordingly, it creates and releases CLAIR's promotional materials, including a brochure, a video, an e-mail newsletter and this website.
