CLAIR publishes a wide variety of materials related to local government, for example materials about the system and operations of Japanese local governments. CLAIR also conducts research on local government abroad in conjunction with its overseas offices, therefore research often focuses on the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Singapore, Korea, Australia and China. The results of research are reported in publications that are distributed to prefectural and designated city offices in Japan as well as other related organizations. It is also possible to download publications via CLAIR's website. Please note that most publications are only available in Japanese.
