CLAIR gathers information overseas on various local government related topics, such as local finance and administration systems and policies for local economic revitalization. This information is provided to local governments in Japan through a variety of publications, including "CLAIR REPORT" and CLAIR's monthly newsmagazine, "CLAIR Forum". CLAIR also provides information to interested parties overseas about the Japanese system of local finance and administration through publications such as "Local Government in Japan".

CLAIR Forum     CLAIR publishes this monthly Japanese language newsmagazine in order to widely disseminate information related to local internationalization among local authorities and related organizations in Japan.     CLAIR REPORTS     These are booklets with the latest information from the regions covered by the overseas offices. Reports include case studies on regional development and information regarding local finance. CLAIR REPORTS are published in Japanese.     Other Publications     "Local Government in Japan" introduces the Japanese system of local administration and finance to interested parties overseas. It is available in English, French, Korean, and Chinese. CLAIR also publishes the "Overseas Local Government" series featuring explanations of local government systems around the world. Up until now, the countries that have been covered include, among others: Australia, Finland, France, Italy, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and the UK. These are available in Japanese only. In addition, CLAIR publishes a wide range of materials, reports and surveys related to local government.     Most of CLAIR's publications are in Japanese.
