To promote the activities of Japan Overseas Cooperative Volunteers from Gifu and Japan Overseas Development Youth Volunteers as the bridge between Gifu and the world
- Outline and Progress of Project:

Japan Overseas Cooperative Volunteers from Gifu Prefecture have been appointed as the "Gifu International Cooperative Ambassadors" since 1997. The ambassador report on the regions they are stationed and their reports are published at Gifu web site and a government bulletin. They are referred to the cooperative international projects undertaken by the government or civic groups as well as to the campaign activities for the promotion of international cooperation. Gifu Prefectural Government supports the ambassadors' activities by providing information concerning the Prefecture.
