- Motive for the start of project:

The Carlsberg Architectural Prize was established by Carlsberg Co.in Denmark in 1992 to recognize architects who made contribution to the development of architecture all over the world. Mr.Tadao Ando, an architect who lives in Osaka, was awarded this prize and donated the winnings to OFIX. OFIX established this program with his donation to contribute to the enhancement of international cultural exchange in Osaka, in accordance with the wish of Mr.Ando.
- Purpose of program:
- The purpose of this program is to provide trainees with opportunities to learn Japanese architecture and art through hands-on training, thereby can deepening their understanding of Japanese culture and contributing to the development of architecture and art in their respective countries.
- Progress of program:
- 93 trainees have been invited from 18 countries since 1993.
12 trainees were invited from 6 countries/regions in 2002.

Trainees were invited to Osaka for a period of 1 month in September 2003. They received on-the-job training, tours to study architecture, attended symposiums, had homestay program etc.
