- Motive for the start of project:

Formed after suggestion made by the Society to Discuss International Contribution in Okayama Prefecture. This society was headed by Mr. Yasushi Akashi, a former assistant office manager at the United Nations. International aid supplies are collected and kept at a location in the prefecture for distribution
In cooperation with NGOs, Okayama Prefecture aims to develop a movement for international relief and collect supplies needed to aid disaster stricken areas both inside and outside of the prefecture.

- Basic Aim of the Project
Okayama Prefecture stores and collects supplies which are then offered to NGOs abroad to help them assist disaster stricken areas. Furthermore, supplies are also distributed to places within Japan and Okayama Prefecture struck by natural disasters and in need of emergency aid. Supplies to be sent are bought by the Okayama Prefectural Government as well as contributed by the citizens of the prefecture.
