From October 19 until 22, 2010, the "3rd UCLG ASPAC Congress 2010" was successfully held in Hamamatsu.
Over 170 representatives of member organizations of the Asia Pacific Regional Section of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG ASPAC) and over 140 representatives of Japanese local government met and discussed issues common to local governments in the Asia Pacific region such as “multicultural society”, “climate change”, “tourism promotion through the use of local resources” and “intercity cooperation in the economic sector”.
