1. The Role of Overseas Offices

CLAIR’s overseas offices make use of their extensive networks for the benefit of Japanese local governments’ overseas efforts and offer flexible and detailed support. They also provide information about local governments overseas including tourism, products, and welfare etc., and can conduct individual surveys.

Collect and provide information about regional internationalisation
Collect and provide information about regional administrative and budgetary systems and their trends
Collect and provide information about regional revitalisation policies overseas
Provide information about regional administrative and budgetary systems in Japan to concerned parties overseas
Provide information about Japan’s regions to concerned parties overseas
Support for local governments efforts to promote internationalisation overseas
Support for international person-to-person exchange between local governments
Any other efforts necessary to help CLAIR reach its goals
