A new child-care allowance system was introduced in April 2012. The application process and other information regarding the child allowance system is publicised in each local government but CLAIR also provides basic information in 12 languages (English, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Russian, French, German).

The information is provided alongside the Japanese translation so that it can be easily used at a local government office counter.
